Extra boot partition in Win7

Pardon the noob quality of the question, but I see there is an extra partition A with bootmgr, etc., in my Windows 7 installation. This is apart from the system partition C. Could someone tell me why this is so? Vista doesn't have this additional partition!

It's a small 200mb hidden partition Windows 7 creates and stores files that will help it load in case of a system crash. It's just a boot partition.

I believe Business and Enterprise at least would have it too (since both of them also have bitlocker capabilities). That is not to say that other editions do not have this partition; I simply do not remember what the case is for them.
