F.E.A.R memory hog?

Hi,
I have a evga 7800gt 256mb.
I play At 1024x768 with 4x aa and 16x anisotropic and all the other settings at their full max.
I switched to the desktop while my game was running and opened the task manager.It showed me Fear taking up abt 800mb!!
Also is some parts of the game there is too much stuttering for 2-3 secs and then it becomes smooth?
I have 1gb of ram do i have to upgrade to 2 gb now?

nah.. Only once has FEAR managed to break the 1Gb barrier on my rig with the same settings as urs+1280*1024
