Facebook has launched a new app for the iOS platform (more specifically, the iPhone) namely "Poke for iPhone". This new app is a competitor to existing app Snapchat which allows users to send messages which expire within a given time. And this thought has been on everyone's mind, that Facebook just launched an app for sexting. Let's find out a little more about this app.
Facebook launches Poke for iPhone

Facebook launches their new Poke app exclusively for iPhone users (for now). This app is different from other messenger apps in that the messages last only for a few seconds (timer) and are automatically erased or deleted after the time period expires. That could be 1 second, 3 seconds, 5 seconds or even 10 seconds. The salient features of this app are:
  • Poke your friends with messages, audio & video
  • Set a timer for the message to expire
  • See pokes from friends
  • Say your location as you poke your friends
  • See when your friends take a screenshot

Facebook has launched this new app shortly after it launched an update to their Facebook Messenger which allowed people to use their app without even having an FB account. All you needed to do was enter your name and phone number and you're ready to go.

You can find the Facebook Poke app on Apple iTunes Store.
