Hi,
There is a lot fake rechargeable batteries flying around in the market - especially the SOny ones. I've recently purchased 2 AAA Sony rechargeable NiMH battery for my Mp3 player - which turned out to be fake.
The packing was very impressive - still I'm unable to identify which one is real and which one is fake.
It was marked as 900mAH. my Mp3 player consumes about 70-80mA when playing at medium volume with the backlight off. but it runs for about 1and1/2 hour - so it turns out to be 200mAH or something like that.
I want to know how can I know that it is a NiMH battery or a NiCd or even a alkaline battery (packed as a NiMH).
Is there a way out?

___________
Thanks
Arup
