Yeah, there is no benchmark utility.
I get about 40FPS at times as well, when it is loading stuff I guess just spikes down to that much,
most of the time they are 60FPS+ never seen more than 85FPS though,
....this is with ULTRA DX11 @ 2560x1600.

The game looks beautiful, these are high-res in game screens:

-I dont know why Photobucket has cropped them :(

Completed the game finally. It had some amazing 30 hours of game play: D
I have clocked 9 hours yet and game completion is 27%. :P On main mission 21/38.
I normally do not go for the side missions - but they are great in here.

The pics are stunning, kinda reminds me of original Far Cry. I have stopped playing it. I always played all the games at very high settings but my system is taking pain to run this game, Will start again when I upgrade my machine. This and Crysis 3 are good enough reason to upgrade. :P

Btw @Infected what is your system config ?

1. Pointless boss fights: For a game that stressed on the villain so much during the pre release ads, they haven't really done justice to the final outcome. I think Vaas should have been given a meatier role plus a better boss fight. The Hoyt fight was even more stupid :bomb:

2. Stupid AI: The difficulty levels in games are getting worse by the day. This one's no exception as you can basically butcher the hapless and clueless enemies at any difficulty setting.

3. Best in class gunplay: Gunplay has always been Far Cry series' high point. Guns shoot and sound very realistically. I think this one has one of the best feel of guns.

4. RPG elements and Leveling: Leveling system has been pretty well merged with the gameplay. The side missions are also both in-game rewarding as well as fun to do. There's really so much to do other than the main missions and that along with the guns is the USP of the game (this is where a game like AC3 failed miserably).

5. Ambiance: The ambiance has been done pretty good as there a hell lot of surprises springing at you while traversing the jungle. The wildlife is I think the best we have ever seen in any other game (RDR was also good at this).

I digress on point 3). The guns sound good but the sub machine-gun's and assault rifles have very little recoil (AK is the only which has a kick to it).

Holy frame rate drop Batman!

Just fired up the game and DX11 performance seems to be shattering my hardware. It never goes above 30fps. Anyone else facing the same issue? Does the console version face the same issues?

^

Don't even ask about the console version :P

There's tearing, FPS drops, slow loading textures.

Talking about Xbox360 version.
PS3 version will be worse.

No, it's not unplayable in any sense of the word but as I said issues are there on console versions.

Should be definitely better on PC.

I uninstalled it for the time being and switched to AC III. I'm assuming my processor is holding it back, so would probably slide this off until I get an upgrade. :(

Killed Vaas thrice. :p
Game didn't saved first time, 2nd time my xbox hung.

Anybody completed 100% or near?
How long people are playing?

(I am on 37% completion after 13 hours. Main mission on 30/38).
