I have just done a clean install of FC. I installed 4 patches including the latest 1.33.

But the game keeps crashing to the dekstop. I even uninstallled the whole damn game and reinstalled it again.

It played for abt 40 secs and then crashed again. I restarted the game and it did not allow me to play at all even for a few seconds.

Wha tt the heck is the matter??

I have copied the profile which I saved earlier before uninstalling it.
 
Using any of the updates from the 64bit patch?

If it's 32bit only, then only 3 patches needed for a clean install - 1.3, 1.31, and 1.33.
Don't install 1.32 in between if you are, it was revoked once 1.33 came.
 
U can try doing this.....
Firstly, update sound drivers, also try starting the game with EAX off.
Secondly, have you overclocked ur gfx card or for tht matter even the cpu? try setting everything back to default settings and run the game.

Try going back to old drivers. Secondly try creating a new profile and play and see if that causes issues. If the game plays well switch back to the old profile and continue playing.
 
Nope...... nothing works. I switched to my old XG 76.50 and it worked fine for almost 10 mins. Then, I wanted to quit the game and when I clicked on Quit and then YES, I got a BSOD.

When I restarted, and tried playing the game again, the same thing happened. Just crashed to dekstop.

What do I do???????
 
hmm...well this may sound lame but try removing half of ur RAM, ie if ur using 1GB then get it down to 512. Also if ur running any third party firewall then disable tht while playing the game along with any anti-virus tht u have. Considering tht u have installed all the patches correctly and other games working absolutely fine, i guess it might be a hardware prob not sure though, i'll post if i come across anythin else :)

Did u try making a new profile ?
 
yes I did...... still does not work....

It worked on my old profile itself for abt 10 mins.

Later it did not work and then I tried making a new profile and it still did not work
 
Same thing happened with me, tried everything nothing worked. I was trying to load games saved before the installation of patch 1.33. However when I started a new game from my existing profile.....the game started working.
