Farcry in OpenGL...

I am able to play at 1024 x 768 @ medium settings using Direct3D renderer and am able to get 30-35fps.... no problem at all... but when i change the world detail to high and water to High... Water looks like crap....

So i ran the Farcry benchmark on High settings with 1024 x 768 resolution and here are the results....

Direct3D : Avg 24.5 fps
OpenGL : Avg 30.3 fps

The benchmark ran without any flaw in Graphics in OpenGL mode but water looked like crap in Direct3D....

Since my card is Geforece 4 Ti 4400, it performed better in OpenGL mode... But when i change the Renderer to OpenGL in system.cfg file and run the game... i dont see land anywhere... only water... inplaces where land should be, has only water and water looks so bad...

i checked out some forums and i got the answer that OpenGL implementation of FarCry was bad... Is that so? anyone of u have run farCry in OpenGL?? Any updates to be run???

I have FarCry V1.3 -> Do i have to install the V1.33 patch?
have forceware 66.93 drivers for AGP....
