Looking for FAST DVD burining software to play on standalone dvd player.
i've tried quite a few but they take almost 2 hrs to burn a 2 hour movie.
i remember i used to have which could burn in like 10-15 mins and the movie used to run flawlessly.

It takes time because it re-encodes the movie to the DVD Format.

Any software would require similar amounts of time.

Why dont you get a DVD Player which supports Divx and Xvid Playback

Like Philips 5986K - close to 4K.

I found tmpegencoder does the job faster than nero.
how fast? i remeber one which i used. cant think of the name, used to be really fast

Convertxtodvd is very good.. But as with any other re-encoding softwares, it takes time for the process to complete -- anywhere between 1 to 1.5 hrs..!
I'm really sceptical about any software that can do this in 15mins.. Let us know if you find it. ;)

Hard luck man , then why dont you take back to the service center and tell them that it aint working , comon man you paid for it.

I still feel that nero8 with nero vision is AMONGST the fastest softwares for this purpose and with user friendly interface. Anyway try it.

its 2 yrs old with absolutely no problems,. but i taught if u burn data it wont play on any players. innit?

surprised that your divx compatible player doesnt play divx. anyhow, i would recommend convertxtodvd by vso software to convert the avi to a dvd format (with video-ts and audio-ts folders and vob files). you could use the same software for burning or you any burning software of your choice and select the dvd video option and copy the contents of these folders into the video-ts and audio-ts folder which your other software will create. afaik, the audio-ts folder will be empty.
