Fed up with multi issues in PC

Doremon

Level D
I'm getting embrassed now having multi problems facing in day to day PC life.

1.) Nowadays, adult content / advertisement automatically appeared at corner of most of any site. This hurting when I saw adult advertisement exactly on right corner - adv section on my daughter Facebook account in presence of me.

2) Though I set Google as home page in all three browser-IE8, Mozilla, Chrome, the other search website (...websearch, newsearch!!) itself opened with displaying adult content just below to search tool bar. I personally observed several time in presence of 12 years son and 17 yrs daughter keeps me in ackward position.:banghead:

3) A General question :- Can I install some application for adult site restriction being observed my kids are growing now. I put my PC in drawing room in open space only though wish to take precausion.

4) 250 gb HD memory almost getting full now.How efficiently I could start to remove unused files (most of music/video/photo files..)?

Suggetions pl. Thanks.

EDIT:- ME Antivirus application installed on PC.

Just use the AdBlock addon for Chrome or Firefox, your problems will be solved. No dedicated application required.
Also uninstall any stupid toolbar you might have inadvertently installed like the softonic one or the utorrent/ask.com. They are really annoying and an eyesore.

Regarding HD D space you are the best judge to remove the stuff you dont require.

You should install avast antivirus and remove whatever ME AV you have installed.
Adblock allows some ads from previous few versions. Use adblock edge which blocks all vulgar ads too. It has list which needs to be subscribed for free during setup. Use the default list.

If you or someone goes to view porn, then Google or other ad sites read cookies in your pc and show ads accordingly.

Best option for you will be make a separate account for internet browsing. This has been mentioned by many members here time and again to not browse from admin account since risk of getting infected with virus or installation of unwanted toolbars is pretty high.

Pardon me, Truly speaking its me, all such activities on You tube only but taking care by doing this on Mozilla only. I also set browsing history gets auto deleted once i leave the web. My Home PC default browser is Chrome which using by all of us. And adult ad/content appeares in site which are on Chrome browser. Any solution here.?

This has been mentioned by many members here time and again to not browse from admin account since risk of getting infected with virus or installation of unwanted toolbars is pretty high. Here, As said above, I also used to sign in You Tube by specific gmail account not revealed to anybody and not using for other than this activity.

Ad Block Edge for FireFox can be found here. Im not a fan of Chrome, and I guess just the basic Adblock is only available. Go to the Chrome Web Store and do a search if you can findsome good Extensions.

Now the real problem of toolbars, is purely your ignorance to CLICK -> NEXT>NEXT>NEXT> FINISH when you install a program on your system. The days most commons free softwares comes bundled with third party tools and they make it a point to ask your permission to install such programs on your PC, at that time if you could have been a little vigilant for yourself you could have avoided this mess.

Now your already in a mess. To get rid of such programs can be difficult depending upon their behaviours. Anyways try installing REVO UNINSTALLER, the free version please and uninstall all those unnecessary stuff you feel you will not use, using the ADVANCED MODE. Once this is done use CCleaner or Glary Utilities and run a registry scan so that entries could be deleted off.

As for browsing sensitive stuff why dont you use the Incognito Mode available to Chrome and Private Browsing mode on Mozilla Firefox.

@Doremon, please don't reply inside quotes. Its really hard to find out from where your answer starts.
The only reason the toolbars reinstall themselves again is because they are malware. Install malwarebytes and remove all those suspected malware.

Even if you make separate account in Google to browse YouTube, the cookies will still remain in pc. Chrome or Firefox don't delete cookies unless specified.
Like abracadabra said use private browsing tab.

Just noted y'day, Windows updates starts automatically while shutdown PC.
Message display:- "Dont switch off computer. Windows updates installation in process. After completing installtion, PC will shut off itself"

-Is this really require?
-Does this provide passage to malware/fake site installation ?

What  ? It's required by windows to update files that are in use by os and hence it does that during shutdown and restart. Mostly the updates patch up flaws or holes in the os that would otherwise be exploited by some malware.

I'm just cross checked whether this generous process or something fishing here ?:artist:
