Hi guys,

Just want some feedback on the Amigo Gamepad (Flipkart.com: Amigo Gamepad: Gamepad).

Has someone used it? Is it any good?
Specifically, is there vibration feedback?

Is it compatible with most games? (I am looking to play FIFA 12 only, but others may be interested in other games)

I am a light gamer, so shelling out a grand extra for the xbox controller isnt really worth it.

Thanks in advance

Cheers!

I have not used it but while searching for gamepad I came across to it & it was for Rs.150 at local shop near my place & Rs.170 for Qualcomm gamepad.

Trust me, for games especially like FIFA and PES, get a good gamepad like the Xbox 360 controller. I have used cheap ones similar to these at my friends' places and they are a big pain to use. All of my friends prefer using the keyboard to that and the only reason they got additional controllers was so they could place against each other on the same PC.
The design is not that good and your hands start to hurt very soon. Plus the analog sticks are horrible, thumbs get sore very soon.

You can try it for yourself and see how it goes for you since it's cheap. But I would recommend getting an Xbox360 controller or nothing. Check the hot deals section, you can get one for around 900-1000 bucks with coupons.

xbox controller is good but its very costly as compared to the cheap alternatives and as ankxxs said that one costs only 150-200 in local shops the flipkart one model also sucks.

Coming to the point all those cheap one have vibration feedback. I own one ( i am not ashamed of it) . DON'T DROP IT. even if it is form a 10 cm distance the vibration can go bad. There is a software called xpadder that does the trick for any game. As it is cheap dont expect the performance and durability as a xbox one but i have been using mine since 1 year the vibration has decreased still it works fine :).

+1. These local ones suck when it comes to comfort and build quality. If you don't take good care of them the paint peels off, cracks appear on the body, rumble almost always dies out. Even if you can't get a Xbox360 controller, try and atleast get a Logitech Dual Action for 800 ~ 1k.

Zebronics also makes some good budget gamepads. Quality is comparatively good. As always xpadder is there for game compatibility. Used it for almost 1.5yr before moving to Thrustmaster.

My friend is using that Qualcomm gamepad & there is no vibration even after enabling it & installing the bundeled software & while using it my hands started paining in 15 mins.

I bought ENTER gamepad for 225/- bucks.. To be true its seriously good at that price.. Doesnt hurt at all. Cant comment on the durability though since I have used is for 3 days only :) But for playing FIFA I think its OK... Doesnt have vibration but ENTER's website says it has ..... But has a CD bundled with it.. Havent browsed the CD yet.. :) You can always give a try to the cheaper ones first and if not satisfied then jump on to recommended ones.

I recently purchased Quantum gamepad for 180 bucks. It has vibration but it is enabled in only few games. Even after trying so many drivers only few games like NFS MW supported vibration. If you will get Xbox 360 controller every game will support it

Thanks for all the replies, guys.

I went ahead and ordered the Amigo gamepad. I was tempted by the deals on the Xbox controller, but the ultra friendly & helpful Flipkart tele-support guy swung it. Small Durga Puja bonus for him. I'm always happy to help. :)

Anyway, since it is dirt cheap, I'm not so worried if it lives up to expectations or not. I post my views on this gamepad once I use it for a few days.

This was my 1st post on TE and I am pleasantly overwhelmed by the level of feedback. Keep up the good work, mods and community.

Cheers
