Dont think that you are gonna get the service quality as that of BSNL.
The network coverage, its absolute garbage. And guess whats' even worse, the data connectivity. It hardly is able to run on 3G, and def it will be a PITA to switch from 5G all the way dwn to unstable 3g.

Atleast my experience on BSNL has been terrible.

So my plan expired today, I am GP1, so I can wait till 8th day and become GP2 and subscribe for 1199
yes , I have doen this atleast 3 times . 1199/ was for Gp2 and 1198/ was for normal recharge but it doesnt list now . Though you are still not able to recharge this as you are not in Gp2 so must be site listing error

i use BSNL as secondary sim to airtel, i am satisfied with it as 2nd sim, but it's not at all good if you are using it for OTPs and data

@KA_20 BSNL is rapidly adding towers in lot of locations, hope the situation improves.
No not at all.
BSNL call clarity is not at improving in either AP & TN. My parents who are in AP cannot speak with me without clarity because of this shitty network.
Right now I am speaking and typing.

I think BSNL needs to improve their coverage a bit more before I can think of switching.
Don't expect much from them.
Like Airtel & Jio does not venture into each other's territories as they don't lay lines in the same locality or one of them does shitty service while other gives best service.
Nowadays BSNL service men gives good service while their bosses don't give a damn about the quality of coverage or existing connections. It's as if they are giving the private telcos an adge when giving service or coverage.
Every BSNL GMs or AGMs I know made crores in their service before retiring. I really don't know how could they do because my own uncle retired as a GM in Bharat Heavy Plates & Vessels in Vizag in 2000s and he don't own real estate like them.
