Ferrari do it yet again, I sympathize for Felipe, he was the faster drive and had to move over for cry baby alonso after being ordered by the team

tsk tsk

i hate alonso --- eyebrow man! oh how i love heaping the choicest of abuses on him!

Ok, what happened? I am following this on my mobile.

Massa was first till 47 lap I guess. Then order changed. Damn it, no commentary online.

Massa is the new Barichello and Alonso is the new Schumacher. Too bad Alonso only inherits the cheating side of Schumacher in bits and pieces. Anyway he is still young at Ferrari, they will gradually teach him how to cheat like Schumacher.

Team orders. Massa allowed Alonso to overtake him.

Ok if MASSA was instructed to move over, won't it disqualify or attract penalty for Ferrari from stewards and FIA? On track team orders were made illegal after schumi incident. Anyways can someone shed some right on what went down. Bloody f1 official and ESPN site does not have any news up regarding this. Anyway, happy with ferrari 1 - 2.

I hope Alonso is handed a 5 second penalty that should set things exactly as it would have ended if Massa didn't let Alonso pass him. Ferrari should be handed a strict penalty.

It is indeed a sad day for F1 and the Tifosi. I've been following F1 for years and have been a die-hard fan of Ferrari. I even flew down to see the Chinese GP this year which was an amazing experience btw. What happened today was completely unjustifiable. Ferrari really disappointed their fans by instructing team orders so openly. Everyone knows that team orders are banned. They weren't even required at this stage of the season. The Championship is still wide-open with plenty of races to go. Massa was clearly upset and he had every right to be upset. He made it very clear in the post race conference that he wasn't pleased with what happened. Had Alonso been so much faster, he should have overtaken Massa fair and square, and, if he couldn't, then he didn't deserve to win the race. Also, if Massa really made a mistake unintentionally by switching 3 gears at once, which is quite unbelievable, wouldn't Massa have tried to defend his place.

I would have been extremely happy had we had a Ferrari 1-2 in any order, as long as it was fair and square. But today, Ferrari made a complete mess of the 1-2 which they did deserve, until they enforced team-orders. They have worked really hard to come up with a competitive package where they can now fight for podium finishes. But by doing these things, they are just undoing everything.

The Brazilians get a raw deal always in F1! (Anyways Barichello fluked the top gear liana test--I was better than him--had a heavy breakfast the day I did my lap!)

@Renegade - Say nothing about Schumacher!! He is the greatest formula 1 driver ever!!

That will only happen if FIA stewards conclude that MASSA was instructed to move over which is very obvious from radio messages. But I doubt anything will happen. Drivers wouldn't loose.points for.sure. Ferrari might be penalized financially or with deduction in team points. I doubt they give a damn about either. For teams like Ferrari, its Driver championship first, constructor second and financial loss last. And they are shameless.

^^^He's an undeserving, hateful, loathsome, fugly, useless, talentless, gutless, cry-baby of a driver who's a disgrace to any team he joins. He arrived at Mclaren Mercedes after winning the championship with Renault and expected to be treated specially. He got a solid kick up his backside by Hamilton. Don't know why Ferrari chose Raikonen over Alonso, they could renew Raikonen's contract anyday.

Also, I wouldn't start bashing Alonso yet. Massa was asked to slow down by Ferrari, not Alonso. Alonso saw the Massa's Ferrari slow down. Even if the thought that it was intentional crossed his mind (which obviously would have), what does one expect him to do, slow down further so that Massa maintains his position? Vettel would have one the race. Ferrari as a team are to be blamed for the incident and for putting the sport into disrepute. The people who payed good money to go and watch the race certainly didn't pay to watch a fixed race.

Yes greatest, but not the most universally loved. Lets be honest enough to accept his dirty tactics every now and then. He probably has a memorable one every season.

By now most of you must have seen what transpired between the race engineer (some Spalden guy) and Felipe Massa, if you havent then catch the live updates and commentary on ESPNStar site. They were team orders in a disguised form. Orders like these aren't a spur of the moment thing. Ohh, i despise Ferrari for this one thing alone.

They did the opposite actually.

-"Mrs. Dyer"

"Yes principal Domenicali"

-"How are you today, big day hmm, final exams and all"

"Yeah the kids have worked so hard this semester"

-"Yeah I know, how is Mikey doing? He is our best student, the most brilliant, always tops the class"

"Oh yes, a prodigy indeed, but I am afraid he is not too well prepared for this exam. I think he went for a lap dance last night!"

-"Hmmm, but he is our best. Tell you what, why dont you let him copy an answer from Miss Ruby's notebook. Just one answer. He will still manage to top the class. And since he is so brilliant nobody will notice it"

"I think you are right, being the best has its privileges. You can be a scumbag and still get away with anything."

Really disappointed for Massa. Took away the excitement of a Ferrari 1-2 finish after a long time.

It's interesting that the two races at which Ferrari have won have been the only races which have also been really boring (to the tifosi too :P). Guess they wanted to spice up this second one with a history lesson.
