Linux Few days more with Ubuntu

Hi all,
I would not be so much approachable for the next few days. It seems I've been bitten by the ubuntu-bug hence been customizing like mad what apps. & stuff they've given.
 
cool i too have jumped to the ubuntu bandwagon.... i would be glad if you could tell a few things about it since i dont know much abt it....:D
 
I just made a quick & dirty net connection for a friend on his laptop for ADSL. The whole thing took hardly 5 mins.
 
^^ be sure to try out XGL. i installed it on dapper and it was awesome to say the least. but i did face some weird problems with compiz though (couldnt get it to run on startup, and the plugins didnt auto load either). ended up corrupting a few files, but a quick reinstall should do the trick ;)

im going to do it tomorrow, after seeing so many on the ubuntu bandwagon :)
 
I don't have the hardware to try out all tht stuff. Would try it in another 3-4 months when it should become somewhat stable.
 
I am still waiting for the free CD to come along. Will install and play around a bit. How good is it and what are some advanced feature sites.
