Few Questions on PSP

Hello friends,

As i am the new to PSP i dont know much about it, please help me getting few things.

1. I have 3.80 M33-5 now, if i want to update; which is the best CFW?

2. How can i upgrade it? do i need USB cable provided from SONY, or can i use any other cables (i have got for my mobile-motorola, but its not getting detected) ?

3. I wanted to watch movies, where can i download the converter software?

Please help me with answers,

I suggest updating it to 3.90 M33-3.... 4.01 M33-2 is the latest...

Step1: Download the original sony 3.90 Firmware from sony website or pspslimhacks.com and rename it to '390.PBP'.
Step2: Download the 3.90 M33-3 from here
Step3: Put both the files (390.PBP and the EBOOT.PBP) into a new folder named UPDATE and copy the UPDATE folder into /PSP/GAME/
Step4: Go to games and run the updater. In the end when you are asked to reboot the by PSP pressing X or O, do it... that's it...

For video conversion download XviD4PSP... It's free and the best... :)
 
I'm using the cable of my WD Passport... and I friend of mine is using his Nokia Cable... so I think any cable will work...
 
I have downloaded the files. Its in rar format. I have unziped them. I have two folders 390m33_3 and 390m33. Now when i check them i could see a folder called "UPDATE" - > in that both have EBOOT.PBP

Now what plz help me
