PC Peripherals Few random queries - Noob Needs Help !!

Hi !
I recently bought a low end computer. Actually it was the highest end that I could afford.
Here is my configuration
1.Athlon x2 4600+ @ 2.4Ghz 65Watts TDP
2.Asus M2N VM DVI
3.Seagate SATA 2 250GB + Seagate 80 GB PATA
4.2*1 GB DDDR2 667 Transcend Jet RAM 5-5-5-15
5.HP DVD RW 1035i
5.TechCom internal TV tuner Card
7.Cabinet Running 6 fans in total (3 x 92MM Case fan + 1x120mm Front LED Fan + CPU Fan +SMPS fan)

All on Zebronics Bijli Cabinet with Zebronics SATA Plus 450 Watts SMPS with 20AMP in +12V rail
I have some questions. Please help me

1. How much tighter timing this Transcend JETRAM can afford?.Is it possible to run them at 4-4-4-12 without damaging them? Default timimg is 5-5-5-15 @ 1.8v.Whats the best timing possible without streaching the limit ??

2.How is this zebronics SATA plus 450 watts SMPS ? Actually I will be adding a 9500GT in a couple of months? Will it be enough for that ? The specs says 20AMP in +12v rail. And can it run a 9600GSO ? Adding a Cooler master 460/500 watts PSU is almost impossible for me at this moment (Out of cash) but will do if absolutely necessary (In that case the graphics card update will be delayed by at least 6 months)
Bios hardware monitor reads like this
Sensor Type ITE IT8712F (ISA 290h)
Temperatures
CPU #1 / Core #1 35 °C (95 °F)
CPU #1 / Core #2 33 °C (91 °F)
MCP 59 °C (138 °F)
Aux 40 °C (104 °F)
Seagate ST3250310SV 39 °C (102 °F)
Seagate ST380011A 41 °C (106 °F)
Cooling Fans
CPU 2679 RPM
Chasis 3600 RPM
Voltage Values

CPU Core 1.23 V
+3.3 V 3.38 V
+12 V 12.74 V
VBAT Battery 3.04 V

Are this values alright ??? Or there is something to worry about ??

3.Here is the Windows Vista Experience Index I’ve got with My rig(Picture Attached). Does it look ok??

Please help me in this regard.
Thnx in advance

The transcend RAM should be able to do 4-4-4-12 easily , even at 800mhz it should do those timings .
The zebby psu is fine for ur pc as u dont have a graphics card , so its sufficiant for ur pc .
Windows experience index is also ok as u have no graphics card , the graphics score is low .

Ok...the PC seems to be running fine on 4-4-4-12

But there are a lot of other timing settings available in the bios. I left them as auto.Is it ok >? or do i have to change anything ?

Here is the list of current settings

Memory Timings

CAS Latency (CL) 4T

RAS To CAS Delay (tRCD) 4T

RAS Precharge (tRP) 4T

RAS Active Time (tRAS) 12T

Row Cycle Time (tRC) 21T

Command Rate (CR) 2T

RAS To RAS Delay (tRRD) 3T

Write Recovery Time (tWR) 5T

Write To Read Delay (tWTR) 3T

Read To Precharge Delay (tRTP) 2T

Four Activate Window Delay (tFAW) 13T

Refresh Period (tREF) 7.8 us

DRAM Drive Strength 1.0x

DRAM Data Drive Strength 1.0x

Clock Drive Strength 1.5x

CKE Drive Strength 1.5x

Max Async Latency 6 ns

Idle Cycle Limit 16

Dynamic Idle Cycle Counter Enabled

Read/Write Queue Bypass 16
Please advice !

if u really want to get some outta of ur RAM then
do not tighten timing............as it will help u get just few fps improvement.
instead increase frequency of RAM...it will increse performance than tightinh timings .

if u really are tight at budget ..........
then get 9800GT ....it is uses hybrid power technology .so less power as to 8800GT .
n remove PATA H.D.D .then u can run it on 450w PSU (not recommended )
while running on 450w PSU make sure u don't OC ,do not connect extra components unnecassarly .

see my siggy for my config. U can see i have 8800GTS G80 wich is power eater n i have Enterage 450WPSU .............i am running that system for 1yr .
no problem as such ....have tried tighting clocks .......also do GPU OC, not reqired but as FUN :p

^^ What is your PSU's amp ratings ???

BTW ... overclocking ram isnt as easy as intel in case of AMD. Because of the divider issue..all sorts of calculaton has to be done !

See..to overclok ram to say 800Mhz ..I need to raise my FSB to about 255 which is impossible without increasing v core voltage on my mobo. And increasing V core means extra heat and extra noise.

I dont really want to streach the limit. Just wanna do whatever is possible staying inside the safe boundary.

Edited : Changed the Bank cycle to 16 from 21. Running fine till now .Passed Memtest

Edited : The system seems to be responding well after tightning timings. Everest benchmarking showing significant performance boost !!!

RAM successfully running at 3-3-3-9-12-2T @ 690Mhz 1.8v

Man these transcend rams are good...really good...

Passed memtest !

The performance gain is almost 20% according to everest benchmarks compared to default level...

whoa.....!!!!!!! Now the obvious question ??? Am I being too greedy ?????

btw, nobody noticed but your power supply 12volt line is out of spec

the spec is usually 12volts +/- 5% which comes to 12.6volts max

could create problems so i guess you should change it to something better

btw, my transcend ram runs fine at 900mhz 4-4-4-12 timings :)

yes at max it should go to 12.6...it should be lesser than that. It will certainly affect ur hardware life..Change ur PSU.

I got 450VX for the same reasons...

hmmm.new problem...

everest reads 12.76v @ +12v rail but in the bios itself it reads 11.97v

whch one is correct ?

secondly I am thinking about skipping 9500gt and upgrade to 9600gt..and thinking about getting CM extreme power 460w @ 2.1k i guess...

is it a good choice ??? vx 450 seem to be completely out of my budget
