Fifa 2006, Help !!!

06 was working perfectly fine on my PC yesterday and now, all of a sudden the text in the menu disappears...

The videos also don't load and the interface is ok, only without text...

I've reinstalled but no use... HELP !!!
 
I'm on 81.85 WHQL, will install 81.95 and try but I doubt its a driver issue, cause the game isn't hanging or anything, just the text has disappered...

Also, its the original PC version so no chance of the game being corrupted.

Please help !
 
I may have read about other people having the same issues with fifa.

Stick to the pes/we series, much better games and they don't scatter files all over your hdd. The entire game uses just some 5-6 dat files from a single folder for content and one seperate dat for all your settings - totally clean install.
 
did you uninstall some other game, this used to happen for me when msxml parser was not installed properly in some age series.check if msxml 4.0 is installed, reinstall msxml parser, d/l from microsoft. not sure if this is applicable to ur problem.
 
Ok, the menu text has disappeared and even the players from the game !

EA please release a patch quickly !!!
