Bought a Fiio E3 off ebay a month ago.Works ok untill it starts producing crackling sound.I suspect this is because of low battery because as soon as I replace it with new battery, it starts working fine. Now I thought this was the problem with just the computer at my office.Even whhen I hook it up to my Creative Zen the problem occurs.
Does the Fiio consume too much battery power?I've been using the Everready 1.5V batteries and it serves me only for 2-3 hours.Have anyone of you guys faced a similar issue?I am planning to buy batteries with higher mAh and see if those are gonna help in any way.I usually listen to more of electronic music.
Any inputs?

Yup e3 does consume batteries... Amplification of volume dsnt cm for free. Specially eveready cant cope up with it... yes u need better batteries.

I hear it gives 8-10 hours on a Duracell. I would suggest you get a rechargable battery instead. Will work out cheaper in the long run.

Get Energizer/Eneloop/Duracell/Sony High capacity > 1600 mah Lithium Ion rechargeables & get a quick charger. you will have to make a habit of keeping 2-4 charged units in your backpack and invest in a super 3-4 hr rapid charger, trust me its worth it in the long run.

I was using a 600mah rechargeable back when i had my E3. battery used to last me for approximately 2 weeks with around 1-1:30hours of listening per day.

Checked out Ezone and Reliance digital on Cunningham road. These guys have rechargeable batteries but only 600 mAH.Need to check out Croma.I already have a Sony Charger for rechargeable Sony batteries. Is there really a necessity for a quick charger?

Croma will serve you Energizer cells. Quick charger is a matter of preference. I prefer it as it can charge in 3/4 hrs max. Regular charger = leave overnight.

Checked out Croma. All they have is Everready batteries which rate upto 600mAH.There was another brand called Immense with 950 mAH which I didn't have a good feeling about.
