Fiio X3 (or X1?) for Grado ?

Hi All,
How does Fiio X3 pair with Grado (I have 225i) . I currently own clip+ and I feel it lacks the power to drive 225i. Soundstage feels small and bass could be tighter. I can consider X1 as well but am more inclined towards X3 due to USB DAC/Amp functionality.

P.S: Anyone in Gurgaon/Delhi with X3 (or X1) willing to let me try them? I'll bring grado.

There was an audio meet in Delhi on 5th dec. Iirc.
They had all the fiio line up. Did not get a chance to go?

X1 or X3 both will work pretty well with the 225i . X3 might give a little more oomph to the bass / driving factor and volume. Detailing will be marginally better than X1. Also you will need 6.3mm to 3.5mm adapter i guess ? If you would be using it as a DAC/amp with PC or laptop - X3 would be perfect .

Do keep in mind , no DAC will make a huge difference to the soundstage of 225i, Grados by and large have a very 2D in your face engaging sound stage .

PS : Speaking from experience of owning 60i/80i for short periods and 225i + 325i for years before deciding which one to keep :)
