User Guides File sharing/hosting (my list)

Supernova has already mentioned many, here are the ones i found. list includes File hosting as well as imagehosting, for almost all, you can upload images without file size limit. you might have already heard about these sites, ive removed most of the popular ones. for more details please checkout the sites yourself :p. im tired.

2 ) qfile.de
File limit : 50mb

3 ) rapidshare.com aka ezshare.de
This is the most widely used file sharing thing. it now supports uploading multipart archives. has 50mb limit. its got a naggin wait counter tho. but reliable. has a nasty habit of deleting copywrited stuf. funny. cant open it now :eek:

4 ) uploadtemple.com
Upload anything, file size limit : 30mb, ive uploaded jumbo scan like this 2.4mb jpg file. its not got any wait counter like rapidshare. It free. it even lets you email the url for your uploads to your email account so you can store them.

5 ) briefcase.yahoo.com
Yahoo Briefcase man !
per account 50mb ?

6 )mytempdir.com – 25 MB hosting limit. Files stay online for 14 days. The temp link generated works for 24 hours.

7 ) filefront.com
UNLIMITED file uploads
UNLIMITED file downloads
UNLIMITED bandwidth
UNLIMITED space
GIVE the public access to any or all of your files
NO file size restrictions
NO hardware required

8 ) megaupload.com - 500mb file size limit. Files get deleted on being idle for 30 days. this one is nice too.
9 ) Savefile.com - 60MB file size limit, files get deleted after being idle for 14 days.

10 ) updownloadserver.com --- 250mb file size limit, FTP as well

11 ) Tok2.com - NOW THIS ONE HAS TO BE INVESTIGATED. HAS GOT FTP TOO. FREE. i tried, got registered. but never got onto it to finish up.

############### Instructions for the registration in tok2.com ############

Go to the registration page: https://sec.tok2.com/reg/tok2/pre_regist.php3

In the first field enter your username. Under that put your E-mail. Into the next four fields, enter NA. The next selection field is for your sex. Now the date of birth is in the format YYYY MM OF DD (in the first field YYYY, in the second MM and in the third DD). Now enter your blood type. Just choose anyone. Next is the field for the zip code: here is one for example 854-0300. In the following field enter anything you want, it’s for the zone. In the next three fields can enter anything again. They stand that for your occupation, your position and your family's status. After that you have 5 Drop-Down-menus where you can select anything. Into the next to last field, you can put anything again. And in the last field, input the code that stands directly above the box.

Click on the Button at the bottom of the page!

Now you are at http://sec.tok2.com/reg.php3.

In the first field, the site title belongs. In the second the description and in the third the Meta-Tags (site keywords). Choose whatever you want for the next section. Just select ONE of the options and as many check-boxes for its sub category. It really says: Category setting >>> please select main category. It registers inside the category next to the yes. Then click on the button below. The new page doesn't matter. So you can go back to the homepage. www.Tok2.com

Now you have to check the email you used for the signup. There will be two, but the first email contains your password to login. It looks like this

-To Access the FTP, download an FTP client, and enter www.tok2.com as the ftp host address. Then use your name and password to login.
-If you want to access your files via the site, go to www.tok2.com and login (the boxes are to the left). The file manager is under the second pink tab and it is the first button.

Make Sure You Replace The Default Index.htm With Your Own. If You Don’t, They Will Ban Your Account. Also, Rename Warez Files To Hide Their Identity.

1) myphtoalbum.com
unlimited uploads. can upload thru software (FX Foto, full fledged image browser and you can do some editing as well aswell) 100 pics in one go !! i use it http://anurag.myphotoalbum.com

2) flikr.com is COOOL !. but it has limited features for free users. it has een bought by Yahoo. wait and watch.

3) photo.net - another very good album hosting site, and you can browse galleries of some good amatuer photographers.
