Finally decided to go for a AMD based rig and this is what i have decided. Kinldy help me with the approx prices wherever not mentioned or where you think that the prices i have mentioned(as suggested by my dealer) are not correct. My budget is around 35K(including everything UPS etc.). I have gone for a AMD based system coz i don't intend to overclock at all & i am not into gaming so i don't need a separate graphics card.
Procecssor: AMD X2 4800+ :: 3600/-
Motherboard: Gigabyte - GA-MA78GM-S2H :: Price ??
RAM: 2*1 GB Kingston :: 2400/-
Hard disk: Western Digital Caviar SE16 WD5000AAKS :: 5200/-
Monitor: Samsung 17'' Flat 798MG :: 5600/-
Optical Drive: DVD - Writer Lite-On 20X :: 1400/-
Keyboard & Mouse: Logitech combo :: 750/-
Speakers: Altec Lansing 2.1 ATP3 :: 2100/-

780G costs about 5.4k :)
Thank for the rate.

Guys still need some suggestions regarding Cabinet, SMPS & UPS :huh:

With a budget of 8550 bucks left for the SMPS + Cabby + UPS, I'll suggest these:

Corsair VX450 - 3650;

Cabinet - Zebronics (Any model) - <1.8k;

UPS- APC 650VA - Around 3300. :)

PS: Inc ur budget by 200bucks.. :p

Well i was looking for something in range of 6500/- for the UPS+Cabinet+SMPS.
I definitely need a 800VA UPS becoz of the 17" CRT, so will have to look at brands like Microtek. How about Zebronics Antibiotic + Powersafe 400W combination.
