Final Fantasy XII Query

i started to play the game only yesterday and i got stuck in the level where vaan has to go to the desert and hunt for a tomato thingy so can some one tell me where i can find it

That level is too easy, but I forgot how to do it.

As soon as you enter the desert the guy is there towards the left.

BTW if you are having difficulty here you are in for some serious pain when you fight the judge in the Airplane.

Nice game FF12 but it mandates a lot of grinding. Or maybe thats just me missing some trick.
