Ok friends. i am set to buy my rig on 1st november 2010 from lamington road.

my configuration is as followed :-

* mobo and processor combo in Rs. 18000/-( only for two things )

1. amd phenom ii x6 1055t - fix to buy.

2. gigabyte GA-890GPA-UD3H - if fits in 18000/- combo
or a good 880g mobo in it.

3. g skill 2*2gb ripjaw 9-9-9-24 ...ram - not fixed if got any better performing one then can change the choice....

4. corsair vx 450 or vx 550- if fits in buget...
or an vip gold series smps as local many dealers r offering it with i7 920

Did u start another thread for this? Else state full budget, needs etc... so that members could help u better...
Avoid VIP  Go for reputed brands like Corsair, Seasnoic etc....

Dude TBH - I think this is the second thread on the same topic afaik ?

-3/4 threads on RAM ?

:| 1 thread - a comprehensive one will be a very useful one

- VIP :S what are you really upto ? i7 + GPU + Decent GPU = KABOOM !

We are all multi-what ?

and can 880g mobo play upcoming nfs hp 3 with out gpu???

Has the game released yet ? No ? then how'd we know it mate ?

PhenomII X4 955BE ~ 7.8k
MSI 880GMA-E45/ Gigabyte 880GMA-UD2H ~ 5.7k
Gskill RipJaws 4GB 1600MHz Kit ~ 4.4k
CM Elite 430 ~ 2.5k
Corsair VX550 ~ 4.7k

Total: 24.9k

Why do u need a 6-core proccy when u are not into any processor heavy stuff and just gaming and normal multimedia PC. As of now the higher clocked PhenomII X4 beats the 1055T in almost all the games.

Bench - CPU - AnandTech :: Your Source for Hardware Analysis and News

There are innumerous articles in the web saying games till now show good scaling will 4 cores and the difference between 4 core and 6 core processor with same architecture and speed in gaming is negligible.

first of all thank u for your kind suggetions....

@l33t : multi ***** = multi tasking guys.

i7 with vip gold series is what our all local dealer provides as i checked .....

the game is not released but u can have an guess like from their pervious games and fit not can i play nfs shift...

@ darkangel : as per my research x6 have capacity to oc near or equal 4ghz all cores and pls turbo core can give an increase in clock speed so better then an x4 which can only clock to 3.8 even after oc ( no oftens it is all what i know )

in future video edting and graphic use also

and in future can only up date to an gpu...

so thats the reason and it can like this also stay future proof for 5 yrs or so ...

with in 5 yrs u can see at list so programes or games runing it at x6 ......

still thank u but can u consider x6 and provide other components details .....

i would love to have that little monster with me...

one more thing that i would be gaming @ 1440x900 (16:10) on my lg 19" monitor so do u thing that 88g mobo if 890xg not fitting in 18000/- combo can play games on it

in my previous rig i had and 8300gs nvidia gpu and it us to play call of duty 4 but use to strugle with balaji baaga pro 1000 ( i think so is the name , can be wrong )

and also nfs undercover at high seetings....

so what do u think of 880g and 890gx one....

1. X6 1055T -because you have already decided

2. If you want a good 880G mobo, check ASUS M4A88TD-V EVO/USB3

http://www.asus.com/product.aspx?P_ID=umllTHNRm4IGqnbL

You can get a good but inexpensive 870+SB850 ATX mobo with SATA 6Gbps and USB 3.0 like ASUS M4A87TD/USB3 and a 4670/5670 gfx card.

ASUSTeK Computer Inc.

Enjoy gaming till you get/afford the high performance card you want. (you can sell the old card then)

For now even a Corsair CX400 is ok but your choice of PSU should depend on the card you want to upgrade to, especially as you want to overclock your pc too.

1.AMD Phenom II X6 1055T - 9.8k
2.ASUS M4A88TD-V EVO/USB3 - 7.3k
The ASUS M4A88TD-V EVO/USB3 is a good choice as suggested by pegasus
The above rates r approx

finally tommorrow going for the buy...... :)

1 think to want to know that does internal gpu menory of 128 mb on 890gx makes a big difference in performence in compare to gA-880GA-UD3H .

on gigabyte site the they show 3300+ benchmark for their 890gx board which as internal 128 mb memory and 3000+ for A-880GA-UD3H.

last comment on this focks....
