Hey, guys, after a lot of consideration and hesitation, i finally ordered a vostro 1500 today .

Ok, my friend who is in US right now has ordered Dell Inspiron 1520. He would have gone for Vostro 1500 as he wanted WinXP instead of Vista but Vostro series wasn't released at the time when he ordered his lappy.

If i had been a day late, i would not have been buying this beast. As they say, luck really counts.
 
congo and are u sure dell ready not to giv windows..than i too can try for similar deal..i m jus waiting for festive orders or so for such sweet deal
 
ohh i checked with vostro they offer freedos..btw same config i customised and it costs 78k bomb.....

how much taxes are charged on your deal...???here in maharashtra...octroi and other taxes increases price upto 6k ard
 
well, i never had to pay the 4% VAT , since the dell agent told me they absorb the taxes if you called them over the phone to configure your machine. And , as i have said before, i was lucky to get the system at that price but you may definitely be able to get it at about 66k .
 
Hey dude can you post some pics of your lappy? One of my friend is interested in it so just wanted to see how it looks first.
 
Unfortunately, i am still waiting for my laptop (ETA 29th august) :(
