Finding X360 region

Got a modded X360 but didnt have original box with it.Was told it was PAL by the seller,but when i burnt a PAL backup of NFS:HP 2 , it said "Unsupported Disc".Is there any way i can confirm the Region of the console without the boxpack ?? Or could it be a bad burn?
