Firefox Virus !!

Hi Guyz ,

I Just installed Firefox after a Clean format and after a few hours ....



WTF!! ... I know its a Virus , how do i remove it ??

Ok and thats not it ... check dis out ...

Try reinstalling Firefox. Before re-installation remove the Firefox profiles and other stuff from ur "Documents and Settings\%user-name%\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox" folder.
 
Actually i just formatted the windows ... so didn't bother to install anti-spywares n all , isn't there any other solution ? Anyone else with a similar problem ?

You've got the W32.USBWorm virus..

Not to worry help is here..

Follow the steps mentioned here and you are good to go..

Even my system was affected by this very virus.. Infected after I used my USB stick in a web-cafe.. But my system is completely healed now....

PS: As an afterthought, you could have used an anti-virus to easily block that virus from entering...

As i said i just formatted my system .. anyways .. i was successful in catching that bastid ...it was sitting in my C root directory and was running thru svchost.exe. After some research all i had to do was track the bastid n delete all d files plus end the user started svchost.exe process :D
