First impressions of fifa 07 demo (pc)

got the demo of fifa 07 yuester day .. have played 6 matches so far :)
so far..
Pros:
1. Ball physics is really good .
2. Animations are fluid and detailed.
3. Compact Gameplay . FAAAAR better than any previous fifa :hap2:
4. Sound,comentry top notch :cool2:
5. great camera motions.
6. fun to play :P
7. huge ground.
8. i call this game pro evolution fifa :P

cons:
1. Long kick ball physics still a bit awkward.:P
2. Still has a arcade feeling due to the fast movement of players.
3. Ground texture/Player Model/Net physics are bad.:no:
4. Lacks the depth of PES5... still .
5. Stupid gamepad support:@
6. Graphics are dark and dont look good .
7. Sorry fifa guys. but still i prefer WE9i
 
fifa's biggest con is that it is not pes. lol

anyways jokes aside. fifa has a long way to go to be close to pes/we when it comes to gameplay.

will try the 07 demo though. pes6 releasing on pc in oct.
 
FIFA 07 dosen't have super cancel like in PES 5 had it been there it would have been nice
but still the gameplay is nice, it is bit slower than 06 that would lead to more competitive games 1 v 1 , not easy to shoot and cross without controlling the ball,
graphics tend to be nice always.

FIFA recognize that they are behind PES and atleast they aren't stubburn enough to stic to their style atleast they try to make the gameplay better let it be like PES :P
 
Never thought the Fifa versions improved much in the releases they make each year. They just have new players, a little bit of player models. Thats it!! I havent seen the improvement in gameplay much. It takes about 3yrs for the Fifa gamplay to improve!!
 
always liked the FIFA series so I'm expecting 2007 to be lot better than 2006 or 2006 WC. Nice to read that it has improved a lot but I wont go by the demo only. For companies like EA, demo is strategical marketing ploy. They put the best of things (sounds, commentaries etc. etc.) in the demo and when you think that full version will be better, they disappoint you. It has been my experience over the years. I'm hoping this trend will change. :P

but controlls still lacks alot ..i prefer L1+L1 for stepover and so on ;) . also the shooting not varied as pes .. :bleh:
also the player animations are not varied except Ronaldinho .. all the player seen to have the same running animation :P
 
Even the game celebrations for the individual players are not varied.

Previously all had that same rockstar celebrations, now all have the same reaction to missing a goal whether its gerrard or henry or eto'o.

PES/WE series keep on improving so much with each evolution that it will be impossible for FIFA to catch up with it.I was particularly impressed with PES5, it depicted the physical style of football immaculately.Also, the refs in PES cheat wantedly sometimes in favour of the opposition team so that you get more enthu to play and pla y with more vigour, after you know that the ref is favouring the other team.

BUT, I always manage to beat Chelsea with an MLS team even on 6 stars :P.
 
if u want competition in pes. keep your form all the way low in grey or blue. with arrow pointing down & give the comp full form with arrow upwards in red color.

really competitive game then. many times high scoring close games too.
