First NFS: Carbon screenshot!

you should be able to do 1024*768 MAX AF, no aa, at the maximum no more.
But even for that you will probably need to overclock your cpu as I will probably need to.

BTW at what settins did you play U2 and MW comfortably on the old rig?
 
Techboy STFU, i can play on my X1800 GTO with all details max, incl AA and AF at 1024X768 with absolutely no problems.

The pic looks pretty much the same as MW, except that its at night. If its the same engine they should be releasing it pretty soon i guess? (say end 2006?) The one thing kaputboy is close to is that you will need a fairly good graphics card, say 7600 GS and above to play at nice settings.
 
By the time Carbon is out my new rig would have long reached me...

And frankly, you sound like an idiot trying to predict the system requirements of a game that hasen't even released a single in-game screenshot.Its just not possible to say so, just wait.

@ Techboy: X1800XT can EASILY handle MW at 1280x1024 with 4AA.

What part of my post didnt you read? I said i can play it absolutely fine without any problems. It runs very smooth. The NFS series of games has never been very graphically demanding. MW is the first time theyve gone a bit further. Just a bit, not too much.
 
LOL techboy... an X1800GTO will run MW perfectly at 1024 with 4xAA and 30fps is more than enuf for racing games. In fact if not for the hitching at odd occasions, it'll run fine @1024, 2xAA on a 9800 pro :rofl:
 
Where is The Link ? This Pic can also be Photoshoped , I Guess ! But even if it is not photoshoped its not that spectacular ! I expected Carbon to be a Burnout Kinda Game !
 
Even my X800XL runs it fine with Full AF, and 2x AA in the CCC, and Full Screen AA, at Half, in game. @ 800*600 and 1024*768.
 
Thanks DD for the screenie...But the screenie doesn't look much different from NFSU....The cars also look familiar....After all what more variety can they bring to a racing game that has tried almost all the tricks of the trade......
BTW to put an end to the above debate of systems and engines.....NFSMW works smoothly on my sucky Geforce MX 440....I get 30-35 fps....So i don't see why you are arguing about it not working on X800.....Even on UT2k4 I would get 50-60 fps....
