Other than ebay no way enforce that (even that is unreliable at times) , Deals on forums are conducted by word of trust . If dealer posts he has the stock go ahead buy it , but if he says he is getting it in xyz days , then wait till he says he got or if there is another alternative in your mind and he or someone else has stock of it then go get it .Thats what I wanted to convey to him.blr_p said:

If you use a shipping service that allows tracking, you can see when the package reached the customs clearance, without tracking you can never be sure without tracking. I was told that they also notify the customer if the package is struck at customs so you can go and get it cleared after the requisite paper work. But that did not happen to me when my package was lost.

@OP, if you're not willing to wait, I think a direct call to Amarbir should get you a refund(delayed or otherwise). There's no point in speculating if he's taking you for a ride or not cos there's no way to verify or dis-credit his reasons for whatever he does or says.

I think it maybe due to because :-
1. Customs think the price might be high and the bill is expected to be lower.
2. Usually when you the invoice is above $2000, they are meant to check the item even if its via dhl,fedex,tnt etc.
3. Amarbir, m not sure if you have a forwarder or an agent, if not then you really need one..let me know I'll provide number of mine one..
4. Maybe the seller is ordering only after collecting money, to be on the safe side... (you never know!)
