Hey all. I had bought a Logitech k840, but it was damaged in shipping and two of the switches and keycaps are damaged.
Ideally I should get romer g switches and keycaps but are the any equivalents I can use for a quick and dirty fix?

I'm not sure if there's any quick and dirty fixes because you'll have to desolder the skwtches to replace them, which will probably involve dismantling the entire keyboard. @SunnyBoi correct me if I'm wrong

romer-G switches have a bad reputation reliability wise, only fix is replace with new romer-g switches which by themselves are a bit hard to find

Desololdering etc is not a big deal. I'm fairly handy with a soldering iron. The question I had was - I'm not finding any here at a reasonable price. Are there any substitutes with the same pinout and not substantially different feel to replace these switches as a temp fix?

i'm afraid not. whats the damage on the switches? is it something that can be opened cleaned and put back together? you should try it out first

This is the damage. Not sure how it happened. My guess is something funny happened at customs

ouch that's bad. the only solution I can think of is to buy another broken keyboard with romerg switches and salvage keycaps and switches from it.

there are a lot of failed boards, just need to find one
