To each their own, many people can pick differences, many people say things are placebo.
It's a fine hobby, till you are not hurting anyone, open any can, don't worry what people say.
I use either DAP or my PC to connect with my DAC and that is connected to my pair of Monitors. I have 2-3 IEMS which are great for portable use.
I don't have a DAC to lend, but ideally think about both DAC and Balanced Sound signature. I am not much of a wireless person, so I am 99% times on Balanced Cables.
