Monitors ViewSonic VA2708-4K-MHD 27"4K monitor - an overlooked gem or a cheap trap?

I've been looking at a budget monitor for office work related to docs, browser, etc. (no gaming, no professional creative work with pics, videos, art, etc.). In the 27" QHD or 4K category, I stumbled upon this monitor listed for <20k on Flipkart and Amazon. I have gone through the comparisons and the tech specs and the rare review it got online. It seems like a great monitor, for my use case.

It is a 60 Hz monitor. Official, tech specs are here. Is 60 Hz poor for a 4k for such basic use case?

BUT...
1. not much reviews and ratings on ecomm sites.
2. very cheap compared to other 27"4K IPS monitors offering similar features.
3. no other monitor company is selling much in 'this' space, which is seemingly good hardware for so cheap.

All these considerations makes me wonder what ViewSonic is up to.
Question: Have I found a hidden gem OR folks have disregarded it for some reason and moved on to better options? I seek help to figure out this monitor's value (or lack, thereof) before I buy it.

Buy The Monitor if available for a good price.
You can also go for 2K 31.5-Inch ViewSonic Monitor, which might be available for even less price.
ViewSonic makes good monitors. However, they are not rugged. They are Delicate and have to be treated as such.

I'm done with cheap Viewsonic monitors. I bought two of them last year and dead pixel were there in both of them, speakers didn't work in both as well. Their pixel policy is bad too, they don't provide service or service denial letter in case of dead pixels. I had to sell them for dirt cheap price. Check the attached email reply from their official.

Thanks folks. It makes sense. I agree with the problem with the quality issues at the lower end. Also, delicate handling is a good reminder. (I owned a cheap ViewSonic monitor many years ago.) This weight of this model is indeed much lesser as compared to its competition.

My current use case is a bit specific - 1. office work only. 2. low budget. 3. secondary display for a short time period (hence low budget). Hence, this thread to find opinions about this specific model.

@alap4m , good suggestion and thanks. I don't want to go for 32", as It'll be quite big for my desk. va2708-4k-mhd model is available for 18k on the common ecomm sites. (Just saying this for completeness as you mentioned about a good price. However, my budget is flexible by a few thousands and not necessarily stuck below 20k.)

4k 165 hz are available around 30k
If not looking for higher rr, benq still has some unique features with monitor.

If you want bare minimum with higher text clarity, the recent lg 2k 24 inch @8k was good deal, just to add context.

So no , this is nothing like hidden gem , more like "nothing special" but slightly cheaper

Bro I am currently using viewsonic vx 3211 mkhd. I have no complaints so far. Its a really awesome monitor and has awesome colors. HDR is good as well as the monitor has good wide color gamut support though the brightness only reaches 400 nits.

DM me if you have any more queries.

Have you checked your monitor closely for the dead pixel? You can use dead pixel tools to find them. These it is rare to find VS monitor without a dead pixel (as per my circle).
