Flashing custom rom on Xperia L?

Yesterday I tried to install a custom rom on my friend's Xperia L and rooted it first and then moved to flashing a custom kernel but couldn't get hold of any flasher for it.
And then I thought maybe I need to unlock the bootloader as well as the rooting wouldn't have done that.
Or maybe it did but I have been out of the android scene for too long to know this and don't want to brick his phone as I am the one who persuaded him to install a custom rom.

Any tutorial for all the steps needed to install a custom rom on Xperia L?

As you have rooted it already, unlock the bootloader using the official tool from sony.

Then install custom recovery like clockworkmod by following this guide:

After the above steps, you are at freedom to flash any custom rom for xperia l. Just enter cwm recovery. Then wipe cache,dalvik-cache,data and then select install from zip.

P.S. Do check the custom rom if it's for xperia l C2104 or xperia l C2105.;);)
