PC Peripherals Flickering prob on 19" samsung

Hi there
im noticing too much of Flickering on my 19" Samsung 997DF monitor. Before we discuss abt any magnetic & electrical interference nearby, i must tell that when the monitor runs on the UPS backup-- its perfect still with no Flicker at all, the prob is when im runnning it on the main power. so there is nothing wrong with the Setup & nearby stuff.

Now this problem shows something wrong with the power mains only. all the Wiring is just new & proper Earthing has been Done. nothing in my computer at all gives me a shock or Leakes Current.

Can something be done for this prob?? can u identify the prob ? i have a multimeter with me & tell me if the earthing is needed to checked thouroghly anyways.

I have an amd64 3000+/Asus A8NE/leadtek 6600GT / 400 watt PSU.

I was just thinking if shld use back-to-back cable & plug my 19" into the PSU. but im not sure whether the AC out of the PSU's are rectified or just by passed.. so pls tell me abt it as well

elaborate -- cant get u on that

Chaos -- what kind of Stablizer are ur talking abt -- one of my freinds was Also talkin abt a Rectifier.
anything in detail u can tell me abt that

any IDEA abt the Power supply im asking abt. If a PSU rectifies the AC out as well -- I can buy a separete PSU & plug it in that

Well go to any electricals/electronics shop and ask for a voltage stabilizer. It'll either be a round box or a square box. Its job is to provide clean power when there are spikes in the input voltage. If you wanna know more, google zener diodes. Should cost around 200-300 bucks. PSU does nothing for the monitor output. Its just another connection in parallel.
 
i think he meant increase ur refresh rate...increase the refresh rate to the max valur ur monitor suppports....

stabiliser...get a 500va, used for TVs and stuff for the monitor alone if u want..

AC otput. recently i opened my powersafe 500W, the output current passes thru one stage of EMI filter and a capacitor filter...dont know about 400W though.....
 
dude, i have the same monitor working fine, set ur refresh rate to 85 mhz, screen resolution to 1024*768, press the menu button on the side of the monitor & scroll to i(info menu) check the setting there, should be smthing like (68k/85 & 1024*768 )
 
Guyz im just not that dumb that i dont know abt refresh rate. atleast 'coz im a not a new comer here. "dipdude" Dont expect that foolishness from an old TE member atleast. thats why i did not mention it in post.

im at 85 htz & tried it with 1152 x864 @ 100hz as well.

the problem surely is voltage fluctuation -- cos at noon times like at the time the image is damn Stable. but its flickering in evenings, probably coz im in s market area & when all lights lit up the voltage goes low in the area for that time
 
LOL....no i meant decrease..i thought it was at 85Hz

you see..i had a philips CRT, and even though it "supported" 85Hz after a long period of time (like you..evenings) would start flickering...

I know u what refresh rates are, just suggesting something

ok, no offence meant, anyways try a voltage stabliser for ur monitor & see if that helps, or else as u r clearly smart enuf to know call samsung guys :)
