Flipkart or Homeshop18?

hey guys.

I ordered this book Lord of the Rings(50th anniversary edition) few days ago from flipkart via COD option(will take some time to be delivered to my house), Link

Now the same book is available at homeshop18 at Rs 3084 (about Rs700 cheaper than flipkart) Link

What should i do? Should i tell flipkart to cancel my order and order the same book from homeshop18.com?

Has anyone ever ordered from this site? how is the service?

yeah, if you can cancel it on the flipkart, do it asap.. ,hs18 has been providing a great service, atleast to me, and i've found most of the books cheaper at hs18.. now, i'd advise you to just call hs18 and ask them if your lotr book is in the stock, if they confirm it, just make your order.. cod preferred..
 
Thanks for replying, i have mailed hs18 asking whether the book is available at their warehouse or they will import it.
 
^call them, cos it may take time to reply to your email. If they confirm, then cancel your order at FK.

flipkart normally has a very very good reputation for fast home deliveries and very nicely packed contents so as to avoid damage.. i personally have never had any issues .. i have ordered lots of stuff from flipkart.. of these, the imported books were said to take about 20 days and i got them in 16 days.. .all other local stock was always delivered on the third day from the order..which is the minimum time taken by couriers to deliver stuff in my city..
 
For something as expensive as this, I would advise you pay the Flipkart premium

Both of them are importing it, and Flipkart usually handles stuff very well.

You are clearly looking for good quality and condition, otherwise you would have ordered the Rs 300 version. And, you have a much better chance of getting the product is a good quality from flipkart compared to others
 
Thanks guys for replying. I am not thinking of ordering from Homeshop18 anymore.

I know flipkart will deliver the book in a very good condition. I have ordered like 20-22 books before, some of them were imported, it's just that this particular book was cheaper at homeshop18.

it's just that flipkart has been so good in their service that we guys scare even at the moment we think about ordering from other sites.. though, if the case here is of homeshop18, i can certainly vouch for them..

i had ordered a no. of items from hs18 and their service has been on par with flipkart with speedy delivery..

and i follow a simple rule, if the price difference is there, and hs18 is cheaper, i will always order from hs18 which has been happening quiet often for sometime now..
 
HS18 is not all that bad. Not as good as FK but not much worse either.

For the price difference I would say go with HS18.

FK has recently jacked up prices. I had to clear my entire shopping cart 'coz overnight all prices increased by 5-10%. Their prices are not competitive anymore. And playing 10-20% more (than other websites) for better service doesn't cut it any more.

I have cancelled my Flipkart Order and ordered the book from Homeshop18. Hope they deliver the book in excellent condition.

I am sure you will not regret your decision + you saved 700 bucks by which you can buy few more books
