Flipkart won't deliver goods worth above 10000 in UP

India's largest e-commerce dealerFlipkart has stopped delivering consignments worth more than Rs 10,000 to customers in Uttar Pradesh, including NCR regions of Noida and Ghaziabad. While Flipkart said the decision was "purely business oriented", insiders said there were numerous instances of customers ordering expensive goods on the cash on delivery scheme and refusing to accept their orders. There have also been cases of fraud in which lost or stolen credit cards were used to book orders online.

It's not just Flipkart. My brother went to courier his SGS2 back to the dealer from Ebay (residing in Gaziabad) and almost all the major courier service (DTDC, First Flight, Professional etc.) said they won't be able to send a mobile to that location. That's ironic as the mobile arrived to me from that location from DTDC. Only Maruti courier is willing to send it off and charging 400 bucks for it. What is with this location?
 
UP is like the wild wild west now. Ironically my home state was part of this huge state once.
