Now to explain this. I had a seagate 160gb hard drive attached to my computer, and was verifying some data on it. The application that was doing this then stopped responding. I tried force quitting it, but it stayed open. I was able to go to other applications, so I saved and shut them down, and then logged out. It stayed on a blue screen for a minute, at which point I unplugged the hard drive (I could not safely eject it before, since it was running with the application.) After this, everything became fine, and the login screen came back. I logged back in to find a folder that acts as the hd on my desktop, which cannot be ejected. I plugged my hd back in, and it works just fine, having no affiliation with the folder.
Any help on getting rid of the folder?
As shown are screenshots of it, and of my normal portable hd.
Never mind. After logging off for a while, with other users logging in, and it being shut down and rebooted, the folder went away.
