How about a Food Section on TE? perhaps in the General Talk section?

would be cool i for one hardly know any good restaurants, so it'd be useful for me and many more cooking-impaired techies

Well I guess we have to let the admins decide this...but as Eddy said before in another thread in the Feedback section, both the admins are away at the moment. So I guess you will have to wait till they return
However, I support the idea though logically thinking, TE isnt quite the right place to have a food section.

IMO the very reason for dividing TE into TE and FE is that there were many general forums compared to tech forums.So wouldnt making this forum seperate for food negate that idea?

PS:correct me if im wrong about the TE,FE division thing.

It certainly doesn't hurt to have a foodies sub-forum within the general talk section

interesting thought... and interesting site that one (sigfood.org) .. but if the food sub section belongs any where. then it belongs @ FE. could go in the lounge section... @ a sub forum.. say call it.. foodie's palace.. or something..

and u could divide. it region wise or city wise... and people could post what restaurants to visit and wat to eat etc etc.

We've thought about it and here's what we've decided...

There won't be any separate Food section or sub-section at TE. In case you've something interesting to post, put it in General Talk. That's the best we can do for you foodies right now.

Remember TE is a Technology website and a Food only section doesn't make sense.

FE can surely incorporate such a section but for that you'll need to post your ideas at FunEnclave and not here at TechEnclave. If there are enough requests for a food section at FE, we'll give it a thought.
