I recently moved to Anna Nagar and I was wondering if anyone here knew someone who is a member of the MGC. I used to play cricket regularly back in Kerala and now I miss it. All I want to do is bowl a few overs using a real cricket ball(not a tennis ball) on something resembling a real pitch. I used to practice at the nets regularly while I was in college and I would very much like to know if I can find a similar setup here.
I've heard of the MGC and I think it's a members only club and you can join only if you get a recommendation from a permanent member. Of course I'm not sure. I don't mind paying but I'd like to consider all my options before I comit to anything. Are there any alternatives? I don't mind travelling a bit, either. Could someone help me out, please?
