Its kinda downgrading but I just need someone who wants to swap his 4770 with my 4850.

I am not much into gaming but more into movies and just want my system to eat less power while I do my normal stuff.

PM me if anyone is interested.

The card has more than 2.25 years of warranty left and comes with original box and accessories.

Here are the mandatory pics:

Instead of losing money in this trade, just use Rivatuner to Downclock ur HD4850. This way you will still have the power when you feel like playing heavy games.

@ sushantV
i doubt if a stock 4770 can be better than that....
160/500 is insane. i think its default 500/900.
probably at those clocks, it should be down to some 20~25w idle.

also most 4770 wont be having such great coolers.

The default clock is 625/993.

I am totally confused man. My rig used to eat like 2W in the whole night. Now its 3-3.5W in the whole night.

I change my motherboard to the one in my siggy, from ASUS M2N E SLI. Changed the CPU to Athlon II 245, from Athlon X2 5200. RAM sticks are the same pi blacks. In fact the 4850 is now out of my rig as well. I am only on onbaord HD3200 which runs at a core clock of 500MHz.

Whats eating that kind of energy in my rig ? I am totally in shock.

Arre there are several bios with that clocks...first msi did that to reduce power....his card idles at that clocks only hence i mentioned trade is no good.
Also m running my 4870 at lower clocks at idle 1v 300/225 and lower volts..40w savings using rivatuner.:P

Ha ha. only 2W or 3.5W you are worried a..

it might be KW, you meant right?

my rig use to take more than that..

Sushant, if u are trading to save power, well it's not worth it.

A 4850 clocked down to 160/500 consumes nearly the same power at idle as a 4770.
My PC also stays on 24x7 and a saving of 2-3W won't make any difference to ur electricity bill. See on replacing bulbs or similar things in ur room to save on bills.

Just a piece of advise: If it's for power, keep ur card coz u have a great cooler and a great card. :)

I already use CCFLs. My problem is that my newer HDTV eats too much of elec (150-180W vs 50-60W of my earlier HDTV). I am forced to either reduce my TV watching time or pay more (which I dont want :P). So thinking of ways to reduce the consumption.
