Forgot Password for MMC card

If you lost/forgot your MMC card password, do the following:

Use any file manager application like for example Seleq or FileExplorer. Go to C:\system\ folder and locate a file called mmcStore. Send this file to your computer and once it is on your PC, change its extension to .txt. Now you can open the file in e.g. Windows Notepad - it contains your password.

The MMC Card is locked and I need to unlock it to get thru fileexplorer..

Actually,i have his card with me right now.When i put the card (512MB NCP RS-MMC) in the card reader,windows just hangs and the card is not recognised.

I tried using MMC Medic but that didn't recognize the card at all.

Tried formatting with the phone but,it asks for MMC password and same for fexplorer too.It asks for the password when the phone boots up.
 
Yes!! password protected cards can't be read through the card reader...It just takes lot of time to scan the card and then it just hangs...Why don't u try the card in the same phone where u assigned the password...When u insert it in the same phone it won't ask the password...Then u an send the file and change the extension get the password...
 
Then u r in trouble my friend...I think u'll have to keep searching for a tool for alternative access...Untill then ur phone will have to stay locked...
 
I haven't yet seen a software for password finding for MEM card...Keep searching if u find it don't forget to post it here...
