Forum Feedback Forum software upgraded to new maintenance release and vote for your new skin

We have upgraded the forum software and installed a new default theme which is much more finished than the last. The upgraded forum software has a new What's New page called Activity Stream. You will notice there is a filter on top right corner to sort the latest threads.


We also would like to extend the users an option to choose a couple of theme which we will buy and install. We would like to keep one dark and one light theme.

We suggest the following themes but you can chose on your own too. The two most popular themes will get installed within 10 days.

All the above skins have some color variants so you can have a look at that as well.

PS: As always some work on the skin will be incremental over the coming days and you can report any grievances/bugs which we will resolve soon.

The first theme "Ideal" is just perfect. Good contrast, solid fonts and icons, really well made. But the popup login is not a good thing as it will not pre-populate the username and password.

The forum sub section being mentioned right below the thread title now means i have to skim through a lot more info than usual.

Tedious, cumbersome and boring.

I like the old classic TE skin... recently the forum has had so many changes to its skins that its kinda of irritating... Sticking to one or a couple of themes retains the identity of the forum...

Anyways the last 3 skins look good...

For dark: 6- Socialize is the best and havent seen it on any forums as of yet.and goes well overall with colors, styling, clearity and font.

I discovered more of Socialize:-- Orange

5- Darkcore too. is superb in terms of all terms.
I even discovered these more editions of the Darkcore--- Orange and Darkcore Green
P.S: Mods if possible use either the Orange or Green one, its ubercool instead of the blue one posted which looks bit boring.


For light: both 1- IBusiness and 2- Modern looks cool keeping in mind its font readability and overall simple but executive styling.

2 (iBusiness) & 6 (Socialize) look the best IMO.

But whichever theme TE ends up with, could you please return the reply/view counter to its former position. The new hover view doesn't make sense.

Hope you guys are browsing those demo sites. Don't judge them based on how the home page looks as you would be spending the least amount of time there. You should look at how the threads and inbox looks as that is what you would be staring at most.

Didn't like the dark themes, but if I had to choose it would be Socialize.
