Hey folks ,
So circa late 2000s , I was a member here and Ero****, maybe mods can help link the email ids ;)

But then life happens and now seems to be good time to getting back here.

So a recent hobby of mine is to build period correct builds and retro game !

Currently I am in the process of building a 2007-09 ish , ‘last days of win xp’ build which I hope to share here to stir up some nostalgia . Here a sneak peek of build in progress

good eye sir .. this is the older cm690 nv edition . It lacks the cable routing grommets but has a cooler side panel :)

Yes if it helps for the nostalgia , these are some components for this build : again some are still being sourced so wish me luck

1. CPU - core 2 xtreme x6800 (pretty) or a maybe a q6600
2. Mobo - Abit ip35 pro or an intel dg43 ( had plans for an asus 680lt sli but mobo traces may be bad)
3. Ram - Corsair xms2s or xms3(if I go the ddr3 route with intel)
4.cooler - impossible to get a good 775 cooler these days but have my eyes on a full copper thermal right from 478/775 days
5. Gpu - mostly 8800/9800gt or if I can find some other options good for win xp. Don’t wanna go win 7 era options like 560ti and upwards but let’s see :)

And yes an ODD for sure
