frankmehta gets a new gizmo: Nokia E72 (8 MPS warning) LOL

Hello everyone! I was just perusing the forums the other day when I saw a WTB: Nokia E63/E71 advert in the market section. Didn't bother much at first, but soon it got me thinking about how it's been 5 LONG months since I bought a new phone, and the latest addition to the list of phones (Nokia E63) had served me very very well. Gave it a thought! I needed another QWERTY phone! And so I did.

The Nokia E72. The BEST phone Nokia has made till date. Period! Does stuff SO MUCH better than the competition at this price, and the 'other' business phones (with funny names like Bold, Tour, Javelin etc.) are left behind by it's charm and absolute all round performance and charismatic silhouette!(though I still feel RIM does email better. That's all)

I would love to do a detailed review, but I would leave this part of the forum to showcase some Porn. (after all, who buys Playboy for the articles huh??? :bleh:)

Without much ado, here's a bunch of photos. A bunch alright! All the angles that would be possible with the Nokia E72. A couple of them expose the Leica lens used to take the camera, and those photos have been taken on purpose. Have a look at the reflection of the camera in a couple of photos, and a look at my false ceiling in the other, giving an idea of HOW reflective the metal of the Nokia is!

Presenting to you, the Nokia E72 :eek:hyeah:

PS: I have gotten complaints from members before, about too many images loading on the same page. I am sorry about that, but I would like to keep them that way. Replacing these images with clickable thumbnails

takes half the fun away. Nothing can replace the fun of having ALL images (in high resolution) load at one time so you can have a good time looking at them in detail!

thanks a lot guys! The cam in question is an FZ28K from Panasonic Lumix.

The phone costs Rs. 21500 in Nokia Priority with a bill and warranty.

As for the BIGGEST question, the camera is decent. Usable enough for casual stuff. Great macro mode. Have a look at FULL res blown pics. (thumbnails this time)

Last I heard it costed ~19k (street price)?

Also how do you find its optical trackpad, I've heard terrible things about it from other users though.
