Market Feedback Fraudulent TE member "Raaga" VANISHED !!

This was my reply to his SMS:

"Thanks for replying, please make sure that you give a call before 12PM tomorrow and transfer back the money,

I have put my FIR request at Girinagar Police station Bangalore-85 on hold till 12PM.

The choice is yours whether you want to end the matter peacefully or be behind the bars."
 
^^ I bought iPhone4 from him. A couple of my friends went to his office to pick it up. Let me know if you need details about address and all. Though I hope it doesn't go that way. Hope he replies :)

He is still ignoring my calls.
His phone is switched off since morning.
Really need your help with the address. Check PM
 
Talked to Xtech_Maniac, his friend said that he did not go and collect the phone, TE member Raaga had delivered the phone to his friends place, so he does not have any address details.

Can't find a way to find out his exact address or the place where he works.

No longer picking up my calls as well.

:-(

Dont know, how to recover the money :-(
 
Go to the courier service office who delivered the pen drive and ask them to bring up the records of your shipment. I'm sure Raaga might have filled in his exact address in the records incase the packaged had to be returned to sender.

Worst comes to worst, PM an admin with the link to this topic, ask him for raagas IP addresses and see if you can track his location from that. If the IP locatior tracks it to that Girinagar area then you might actually have got him. Worth a shot.
 
^^ Raaga had stated that he had shipped me the pen drives using TNT courier, tracking no D059156324

I could never track this consignment on their site, although i received the drives.

Also, in the packet, there was no tape or any sticker of any courier company.

Was a plain and simple CD case (see the pic attached)

Also, i have a strange feeling that he is keeping a watch on this thread, can this be traced whether the TE member Raaga has created any other account using the same IP.

Mods: can we get a resolution by tracking the IP ?

^^ Thanks for checking, cant figure out a way to get hold of his exact address.

I even confirmed that this profile is not his (By asking Xtech maniac's friend who has met his personally once)

All i have is his 2 contact numbers, one which is always switched off and the other in which one female used to pick up and tell me that she would convey the message to Raaga, but all in vain, now even she isnt picking up my call.

Courier packet states Girinagar, Bangalore-85, without any house no. stated.
 
Assuming that you did a online Bank Transfer:

When you added the account, did you see any name get assigned to the account number? What Bank was the account in? the First few digits of the account number will also help in finding the Branch of the Bank where the account is held.

Next, you can definitely file a complaint of online-fraud with your local cyber cell, send a copy of the complaint to local TE team in Blore, with a letter of authorization on your behalf, and the Branch Manager would be forced to cooperate and spill the account owner details. You may also do this with the mobile companies, as well as the cops can (you need to encourage them to do this) track using the number to which region the user is currently at.

All this can let you easily catch the offender, assuming your complaint is True.

If you do ALL this, however, then post this there will be legal action, which may result in a not so small jail time & maybe a piddly penalty amount for the offender. you would also have borne some significant costs in terms of legal fees.

If you are able to register a FIR with police, as far as I know the legal action would be taken by government, as the accused will be booked under section 420. (Legal experts can explain better). So cost for the legal action won't be much. But from my experience getting FIR lodged is a big hurdle, as most of the time they won't even talk to you if you don't cough of something for them

He meant to ask if you could provide Raagas IP to check if his address could be traced via an IP locatior.
 
I just checked this guy's profile today and i get to see that he has again visited TE on 15 July, after more than a month's time.
