Just got the FreeAgent Desktop 500 GB external drive. Looks sweet

Didn't research the purchase before ordering and read really awful reviews just yesterday regarding stability . So, won't be using for storage, just backups. It's got 5 years warranty :hap2: . Cost me 8800.

yes MY BOOK from WD is for 6.1 k 500gb 3.5" this is th price i got here in delhi . so am 100% sure about the prices.

Thanks for pointing out the prices. Going to negotiate a better price 2moro. Actually I buy from this dealer quite a lot and didn't cross check prices. Saw this same model (Seagate) selling for less then 7k on e-bay! I'm being stiffed .

oh btw check if your drive is having a ESATA option if it does then that cost more.

That is the Pro model. Actually had ordered that one, but couldn't source it.
