Guys, this is a new service / software which is going to be announced next week in the MWC. But it has been available to the beta testers already.
It is this weeks Featured Application on Nokia, so i though i might as well post it here too.
First, here's what it is -
adtronic from Liquid Air Lab
Advertisers want to reach mobile consumers, and Liquid Air Lab's adtronic software makes the consumer/advertiser relationship a mutually beneficial one. By viewing ads presented by adtronic, users of S60 3rd Edition devices can build up credits that lead to cash, free or discounted downloads of applications, and free music downloads and more. The adtronic software allows consumers to choose how many banner ads they will view each day and consequently how much they will receive in the way of rewards for viewing them. It also allows them to choose which marketing campaigns can reach them.
The banner ads can pop up as part of the screen when the consumer receives a new phone call, gets a short message service (SMS) or multimedia messaging service (MMS) message, or misses a call. Consumers who do not want the ads to become too intrusive can limit them. On the other hand, a consumer who wants to load up on reward points can set the application to receive as many ads as possible, given the user's traffic. The banners can also have click-through capabilities, such as instructing the user to press the [5] button for more information, and then sending the user to the advertiser's micro-site as a result.
I have been using it for 4 days now, it does not come in your way. You don't have to open the ads, don't have to wait for them. Simply go about you normal use, and you still keep accumulating credits.
According to Nokia's site - "For more information go to www.liquidairlab.com, and to download the software,
visit www.adplace.com/en/pre-registration."
But if you want to download it right away, simply go to www.adtronic.mobi from your mobile browser.
Currently, the supported phones include Nokia 5700 XpressMusic, 6120 Classic, 6121 Classic, 6210 Navigator, 6290, E65, E66, N73, N76, N78, N79, N80, N81, N85, N93, N95, N958GB.
Although the store does not have many applications as of now, but once it is announced at the MWC and as more developers come onboard, we might see some nice apps there. So why not accumulate the credits till then
