It works with Opera 8 beta and final!

How to do:
Use c't magazine code: OJD000MN (Orig. price:$39)

This WILL get rid of the advertisement/banner that the free version of Opera has.

Here are the steps to register Opera so that you won't have any ads!

1. Register Here
http://www.opera.com/ct-magazin/
2. Insert first and last name (remember this since you will need it later)
3. Put a legit email address
4. Copy and Paste OJD000MN for the code
5. Now u don't have ad's in ur opera!!! :clap:

well.. i dont use Opera that much.. but this looks like a real boon to those who cant live without Opera .. repped ya for them ;)

LOL, as if i use opera? I use opera for sites/pages which has a lots of pixs and opera seems to load that faster. :eek:hyeah:
 
Some ppl say it dint work (but today i uninstalled opera 8 beta 2 and installed the final version and used this code and it worked for me...), so do the following:
1.Install version 7.
2.Register it using that code.
3.Then un-install it but dont clean the folder.And try installing Opera over that.
 
Thanks a lot for the info, Grudge ... so it seems it was only for versions uptill 8.0 beta 3, which is what I will use until they do something real new for 8.x ...

And about the uninstall/install thingy ... hmm, I was using the binary without running the install script so far, I wonder where the registeration info is stored ... anyway I will try installing opera 8.0 betra 3 and final in tandem, hopefully it will pick up the register info from the ~/.opera directory :)
 
It does work as opera 7.xx ( i think opera 7.54) license is perfectly valid for opera 8.xx beta and final.

The only catch it seems is that u cannot directly apply the above license to a fresh install of ver 8.00. Upgrading is perfectly ok...
