The full version of Tune Up Utilities 2008 has been provided in the DVD of CHIP magazine December 2008.
The magazine and disk content of December 2008 is provided here: Chip - India's Most Trusted Guide To Gadgets And Technology
P.S: I suggest you plz buy this months magazine and get the product key from the DVD(I have posted the serial in the last part of this post). This months CHIP is their 5th Anniversary Edition but it does not cost too much. It is priced at just Rs.150. It would help the CHIP people if you supported them by buying the magazine and then they will be able to provide more such useful softwares for free in the coming months.
I have posted the product key in here: FREE: Tune Up Utilities 2008 - By hotshot05

Please PM the Serial key.. I don't have enough money to buy issue :ashamed:

Spend all on RAM, GTA IV :bleh:

The serial no is present in the included DVD and I dont have the DVD with me now. So you will have to wait till I get my hands on the DVD(I think I will be able to post it before 10pm)

^ r u working for CHIP or something? lolz.. how many DVDs does it have in anniversary issue?

Man, what an excellent deal, but too bad Tune-Up 2009 was released just last week.
Would have certainly bought it if they were giving 09 instead.

BTW, will the old key work with 09?

Is it any good? Will buy the magazine if its worth it.

I felt that the content is good. I liked the netbook review and the game reviews. Also there is a DIY guide for converting an old laptop screen into an all in one PC(i.e all components are attached with the screen like the Mac's) which I really loved. Will try it out when I manage to get my hands on an old laptop.

I would love to work for them. I would then have the chance to bang the head of their graphics card reviewer against the nearest door. He compared the ATI 4830 with the 9600GT whereas it is actually projected as a rival to the 9800GT and also outperforms the 9800GT.

They provided 3 DVD's with this months edition. They also provided 5 episodes of Tech Toyz(The TV program conducted by Tech2.com) in the DVD.

I asked people to buy it since they depend on the readers money and the advertisers for finance. If u dont buy the mag, they dont get the money and so wont be able to provide such full version softwares anymore as even though the readers get it for free, they dont. They have to give money and buy an unlimited user license for the product.

I heard that there isnt much of a difference between the 08 and 09 version. I suggest u try both the demo versions of 08 and 09 and then think if there is really a lot of difference between the two versions.

Very few magazines have the monetary power to provide a full version of a very popular software which has been released very recently unless they charge a lot for their magazine. Most mags provide software that is 2 years old(they get a lot of discount). CHIP has the backing of Infomedia 18 and so they are being able to provide 1 year old software even in these times of an economic slowdown.

There is quite an improvement in 09 over 08. Unlike the other apps, Tune Up has thankfully not bloated any of the new versions it has released, but infact gradually added features.
09 has no cons over 08, so i will be sticking to 09 only.

Has anyone yet used the serial I posted?

Is anyone finding any problem in getting the setup file of Tune Up Utilities 2008?

I have installed the SW few days back after buying Chip. There is no problem, I have updated the spyware database, but I don't find the program so great as I had heard. Earlier I was using CC Cleaner which I think is better, but this one has more features.
