PC Peripherals Frequent restarts and shut downs - overheating?

Components that need to be checked are :
Processor(check thermal paste consistency, working of Fan and if the heat sink is properly seated or not) -> GPU (check the GPU fan and the Thermal Paste) -> Motherboard (Northbridge, Southbridge ICs, look for burn marks) -> Finally PSU(it can only be replaced, usually during gaming power draw increases by 30 - 45% if the PSU is faulty it might malfunction).

@vyral_143

here is my config

MOBO - Gigabyte B75 - D3H
CPU - Intel i3 3220
RAM - Corsair vengeance 4gb
HD - 1TB Segate
Monitor - 21.5' inch Del s2240L
Cabinet - Nzxt Gamma
Dvd Writer
GPU - Asus GTX 650 ti
PSU - Corsair VS 450 PSU

Dude you have a pretty good configuration, the PSU looks a bit weak to handle GTX 650 Ti but it should not restart, try monitoring the temps and logging them while playing games.
If none of this helps consider checking your Mobo and GPU.

I was using HWMonitor but then my friend suggest formatting the pc. Ill download it again today and will record the temps. Even i was suspecting the PSU. Read some -ve reviews about the vs 450. thanks for the help mate

Probably the PSU. But you should run some temperature probes for CPU/GPU. Please do not stress test the system, using Furmark or something.

my pc was downloading since yesterday night and when i woke up today morning it was working fine then i left for work (pc was still on) and when i came back in the evening and had a look in the event viewer my pc had restarted at around 11.00 am and the only thing that was running was utorrrent / Steam.
