Froyo a.k.a Android 2.2 reportedly boosts speed by 450%!!!

its good news indeed but this 450% increase will not directly translate to apps.. This increase is in a pure number crunching test for floating point operations which does not relate to a real world scenario.. So I'd fathom that the speed up in real world would be more like 1.25-1.5 times but which is still good enough..

Also the speed up will be much more for apps which have a lot of number crunching e.g. if there are any apps that use java codecs etc..

Flash and most other codecs etc won't benefit from this because they would already be native..
